This is the highest level of competition in the state.
The team, coached by Tom Gonsalves, defeated most teams easily on the way to a season record of 35-1. There were only two seniors on the roster.
The only defeat came to nationally ranked Blackman High School from Murfreesboro, Tennessee in the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Arizona. The Lady Rams started the season by winning the Iolani Classic Tournament in Hawaii. This was followed by a third place finish in the Nike Tournament. Then they won four games in the West Coast Jamboree at Los Positas Junior College.
The Lady Rams went undefeated in the TCAL conference with a 10-0 record.
In the Sac-Joaquin Section Tournament the Lady Rams won Division I by defeating Merced 122-33; St. Francis 98-55; Davis Sr. 86-48; and McClatchy 78-55 for the Championship.
In the Open Division of the CIF State Girls Championships they defeated Modesto Christian 90-65; Sacred Heart Cathedral (SF) 70-65; Miramonte 67-52; and Mater Dei, the Southern California #1 seed, 76-69.
