Quincey Noble grew up in the Midwest and played college baseball for South Dakota State University, where he was a four-year starter. He began coaching high school and summer baseball in South Dakota, Texas, and Missouri, winning a state championship in the process. Quincey’s college coaching career started at Northwest Missouri State University, where he served as their recruiting coordinator and hitting coach from 1986 to 1989. In the summer of 1989, he was hired by Pacific to assume the same responsibilities; he was then named Pacific’s head baseball coach later that year.
Quincey was the head baseball coach at Pacific for 14 years. Several of his teams were nationally ranked for the first time in the school’s history and in 1994 they had the longest winning streak in the nation. Quincey continued his coaching career at McNair High School and served for 14 years; he also spent his summers coaching the West Lane Mets, who won the Connie Mack State Championship in 2010. Quincey was featured in Baseball America, Top Coach Podcast, a published author, and was the Stockton Record’s Coach of the Year in 2015. Over 85 of his former players have signed professional contracts, including four MLB players. Quincey is currently one of the most tenured Athletic Directors in our area and is an advocate and mentor for students and aspiring coaches.
